Setting music free
Finally, the music industry is heading in the right direction. Or at least some artists are. By giving people free access to their music, it’s easier for artists to spread their message. And that message is about fair treatment of their audience. The industry has been charging people too much money for music over the past three decades. Time has come to set music free.
A few weeks ago Radiohead released its new album for free on their website. Starting today, Saul Williams’ new album — The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust! — is also available for download.
Saul Williams’ new album is produced by Trent Reznor and you can definitely hear his influence in the music. I’ve listened to the album a few times today and there are some really good songs. My favorites for now are DNA, WTF! and Raw. I’ll need a few more listening sessions to discover the other beauties.
