Web Design

I take web design seriously. I started designing for the web in 1998 and have been passioned about it since. I create findable, usable and accessible websites by using web standards like XHTML, CSS and WCAG.

If you need a Full Flash Website, I won’t be able to help you out. Sorry for that. But I know some people who can. Feel free to contact me about that.
If you have a Flash website, I can consult you to improve it with web standards to make it more findable.

The way I work

  1. Find out more about you and your organization. I need to know what you are passioned about so I can provide you with the right solution. I like working with small companies and non-profit organizations.
  2. I show you the first design, based on your content.
  3. You will have the chance to review the design and make some changes.
  4. In the Second Design round I make some minor changes based on your review.
  5. Development and CMS Integration. I create the XHTML and CSS files and implement them in a Content Management System. By doing this you will be able to publish your own content in an easy way. I like working with Textpattern and ExpressionEngine.
  6. I will test your website with a lot of browsers to know sure it works. Your new website will work in most modern web browsers and the browsers of the future will render it in a nice way too. People surfing with older browsers like Internet Explorer 5 will also be able to access your content, but they will not have the same experience.
  7. The final step: launching your website and tell Google about it so your website will be found by your future visitors.
