New Apple Website
The new Apple website looks great. And the markup behind their new website is a lot better too. The global navigation of the website isn’t made of tables anymore. They used lists in this version. The buttons are a little bigger too so they are better to point at. The subnavigation from the old tab design is gone too.

The website is also designed to be viewed on a screen with a size of 1024 × 768 pixels. The old website was still designed for a 800 × 600 screen size. Since most people now have bigger monitors this is a good thing.
The new spotlight inspired ajax-search works fast. But this new search only works on the main site. In the store there is still the old search field which might be confusing since there are two search fields on that page.

The new footer is great. They added a breadcrumb and a small sitemap with lists to the most important sections of the website. I think this will be one of the most used features for me to navigate through their website.

The rest of the website is filled with nice accordions and other widgets which will lose their fun after a while.
